Canon Pixma MP450 is a budget all in one inkjet printer by Canon. Pixma MP450 is mainly targeted for the home users. It has basic functionalities of an inkjet printer but it misses the more important features that are intended for the high end customers or typically business printing environments. Canon Pixma MP450 uses four Canon Pixma MP450 ink cartridges for printing.

The control for the Pixma MP450 is laid outward and on the front of the printer. There is only one paper input tray with which you can feed paper to the Pixma MP450 inkjet printer. Pixma MP450 supports the PictBridge feature so you can get prints using your digital camera with a PictBridge feature installed. Canon Pixma MP450 is very compact in size and takes a lot less space which makes an ideal printer to fit into any kind of narrow spaced working environment. It is easy to get prints of usual sized papers but the tray does not have an extension for supporting bigger paper sizes. There is a media card slot given in a Canon Pixma MP450 but that supports the more common types of media cards, for other types of media cards to work you will need an adapter. Pixma MP450 has a flat bed scanner that can even accommodate thicker material scans without too much of a hassle. The scanner usually scan documents with upto approximately A4 size. Four Canon Pixma MP450 ink cartridges mean more cost savings and less need for replacement.

Pixma MP450 has a 1.9 inch LCD to control all your operations on the Canon Pixma MP450 inkjet printer. The navigation system provided with a Pixma MP450 is very simple and lets you control everything without any problem. Pixma MP450 not only supports text printing but you can also achieve reasonable quality photo printing as well. The Canon MP450 cartridges use both the pigment as well as the dye based technology. Pixma MP450 uses two Canon MP450 ink cartridges. One of the two Canon MP450 ink cartridges is black while the other one is tricolor. This system of only two Canon Pixma MP450 ink cartridges is not very admirable because the tricolor cartridge will have to be replaced even when only one color has been consumed and the other colors are still there in the cartridge. This is totally opposite of the new ink system and will obviously effect the cost per print.
Canon Pixma MP450 is a very basic level printer. It lacks a lot of necessary features but it is still an excellent printer for people wanting more in less money
