Pixma MP630 is an all in one trimmed version of the Canon Pixma series printers. Pixma MP630 printer model has a lot more common features inherited from most of the older versions. The body of the Canon Pixma MP630 has been trimmed to make it look a lot taller. This trimming down of the Pixma MP630 has made it difficult to stick your hand into the printer and replace the Pixma MP630 ink cartridges unlike in older Canon Pixma Series versions where the inner space made the replacement a lot easier.
Pixma MP630 supports a number of different card media including Memory Stick Duo, SD, xD, and Compact Flash cards.
Pixma MP630 printer model offers good quality photo printing as well as text printing. Very few ink jet printers are able to simultaneously give good quality printing for both types of prints. However with this kind of quality printing, Pixma MP630 has a very painfully slow printing speed making it a very undesirable printer model for many printer users with more demanding printing speed needs. Pixma MP630 prints drafted documents printed at a conveniently 10 ppm (pages per minute) while it prints normal quality text documents at a further down 7 ppm (pages per minute) printing speed.
Pixma 630 has a special made for purpose removable plastic tray with the help of which you can easily print on CDs and DVDs. Therefore printing of DVDs and CDs is like printing it with any other Canon inkjet printer model supporting this feature.
The obvious and most criticized problems with a Canon Pixma MP630 have been slow printing and more expensive ink cartridges that make it a bit reluctant to buy inkjet printer model.
Canon Pixma MP630 Ink Cartridges and Printing Speed
Pixma MP630 uses five ink cartridges tank system. The five Canon MP630 ink cartridges include two black Canon MP630 cartridges; one for simple text printing where the other one accompanying the colored ink cartridges. The other colored MP630 ink cartridges included with a MP630 are cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges.
As we have already discussed that Pixma MP630 is a slow printer, it has also been labeled as an expensive to run printer. Costs of Pixma MP630 ink cartridges have been significantly higher than that of many older Canon Pixma series ink cartridges.
Pixma MP630 is still a good printer as it is able to fit into the budget of many users. Besides that many printer users don’t really care about the printing speed specially the ones with less printing jobs at hand. Canon Pixma MP630 printer model can still work fine for domestic printer users with scaled down printer usage.
