Cartridges
Frequently Asked Questions
Q) What is an
original cartridge?
A) These are simply cartridges
manufactured by companies who also
make the printers they are used in.
e.g. Epson, Canon, HP.
Q) Why are
compatibles so much cheaper than
originals?
A) It's not so much that compatibles
are cheap, more the fact originals
are expensive.
The main reasons why
they can be produced so much cheaper
are:
1) They do not spend millions a year
on global advertising.
2) They do not invest in designing
the printers.
3) They often sell direct to the
retailer cutting out the middle man.
4) They often use standardized box
sizes to reduce costs.
Q) Will I get the
same page life from a compatible as
the original?
A) All the cartridges we supply
contain the same volume of ink as
the original manufacturer uses. Some
in fact insert more for higher page
yields.
Q) Do compatibles
differ in quality to the original?
A) We only deal with companies who
make quality a priority. They all
use high quality grade inks that
produce vivid colour and deep black
output. They have a shelf life
between 1 and 2 years and all come
with a 12-18 month guarantee.
Q) Will using
compatibles affect my printers
warranty?
A) Compatible cartridges will not
damage your printer and if they did
all our suppliers stand by this by
offering to cover the costs of and
damage caused by the use of their
product(s). NB To date there has
been no case where an original
manufacturer has been able to prove
the use of a compatible has damaged
their equipment.
Q) What if I'm
unhappy with the quality of a
compatible cartridge?
A) You can return it and we'll send
you a replacement or give you a full
refund.
